Men’s & Women's Tennis Outfits From Wilson Sporting Goods

I recently got the chance to go shopping at the Wilson store in Santa Monica California with my good friend and fellow content creator, Dylan Gee. Dylan is a former tennis professional gaining singles and doubles ATP points. He’s based in London and coaches tennis players of all levels. He has a background in strength and conditioning for improving sports performance.

With a budget of $500 each to spend at Wilson, we decided to pick out each other some items to wear. Detailed below are our choices and you can also take a look at how they look on us in Dylan’s YouTube video.

Women’s Choices From Wilson

Look #1 - Beautiful Ballet Vibes

The Wilson Headliner Tennis Dress is the dress version of the original Limitless Skirt. It comes with the shorts and bra conveniently built-in and layers beautifully with the Riverside Cropped Half-Zip. The soft and shiny material of this dress and top effortlessly shimmer in the sunlight, making for a gorgeous on-court look. Perforations in the dress let the air in for a high-performance feel and a super-thin racerback design lets shoulders move free. The liner features duel pockets to keep your spare balls and other items handy.

This dress is truly a special addition to any tennis fashionista’s closet. I certainly can’t say I’ve owned a dress in this color before but I’m glad I do now!

Look #2 - Off-Court to On-Court in No Time

This look combines two staple pieces that really every tennis player should have in their closet. Starting with the Wilson Classic Pleated Skirt in Safari. This is a slightly longer cut skirt so it really is perfect for wear both to play tennis and around town. It’s not an obvious “sportswear” piece so it transitions beautifully and certainly aligns with the country club aesthetic that’s so in vogue at the moment. It sits comfortably at the waist with minimal branding plus it comes with shorts and a pocket built in.

The skirt partners beautifully with the Everyday Brami. This is an item I now own in several colorways. It’s a perfect everyday top, whether you’re playing sports or not. The bra is comfortably built in, has minimal padding for shape, and features a racer back for comfort. Really, you can’t go wrong with this staple.

This look also pairs perfectly with the Davenport Woven Pop Over featured below!

Look #3 - Sporty Girl Aesthetic

The Wilson Legacy Tight is the first “tennis-focused” legging I’ve owned. And I know, you think you also have enough leggings in your closet, BUT you also need these! The Legacy Tight is a pair of fast, sporty, storage-equipped tights for every sport and application. That’s right, the back of these leggings feature a double layered seem that you can easily slip a ball into for storage. No more tucking the ball into your waistband! I love the color-block design of these leggings and the high-rise fit with a wide, flat wasitband. There are also ventilation zones behind the knee and a flat inbound seam detail for chafe-free movement. These are a win guys!

The Wilson Davenport Woven Pop Over was an item I fell in love with while in the store. This lightweight layering piece has already been the recipient of many compliments when I’ve had it on. It’s made with Wilson’s proprietary shell technology - a two-component construction that perfectly protects against the elements with a luxurious, water-resistant outer layer that is stretch-friendly and quick-drying, and is complete with a plush back yoke that is soft to the touch and expertly regulates your temperature. Its slightly cropped fit has an adjustable waistcord at the bottom to cinch to your liking. Complete with subtle pocket storage, and a half-zip neck opening for easy on and off. I can almost guarantee you guys will love this piece!

Men’s Choices From Wilson

Look #1 - Nail The Fundamentals

This is a classic sportswear-driven look that can go from on-court to the gym to running errands or hanging with friends. Dylan transitioned to a slightly shorter short in the 5”, but depending on your comfort, they also have 7” shorts available, both lined and unlined.

The Wilson Easy Street Tee is a relaxed fit cut from the Wilson tech cotton fabric, so it feels just as comfortable as your well-loved tee, yet packs some sneaky technical details you need for all-day wear. It’s equipped with anti-odor for a stink-free long haul, and stretchable, breathable fabric that can keep up if you heat up.

The Tournament Pro Short is Wilson's lightest-weight, on-court short. Ultralight and airy, the stretchy fabric has great ventilation. The knit waistband has a mesh-like texture and a built-in drawcord, so it keeps a strong hold without feeling restrictive.

Look #1 But Go Brighter!

The Tournament Pro Short in Fuschia truly is a fabulous choice for your wardrobe this summer. This is a beautiful bright pink that looks great on tanned legs. Paired with a simple white tee, trust me these looks will get you some compliments and very few others will be rocking the same style!

Look #1 But Make It Smarter!

The Polo shirt dresses up the Wilson Tournament Pro Short 5” to offer a smarter more sophisticated look. This Polo truly offers the best of both worlds, it’s technical enough to handle high-sweat activity yet classy enough to be worn during your off-court activities. Bonus factor, the flat rib collar won’t bunch or roll, so you’ll stay looking smart, no matter your daily activities!

Look #2 - Sporty Meets Dress-Up

I chose this look for Dylan to be a go-to for him when he’s off the court. Of course, I’ve already spotted him wearing the Wilson Millennium Crewneck to the practice courts but I can’t blame him because it is ridiculously comfy. It’s an all-purpose sweatshirt engineered for function and comfort so this is a piece that’s worth the investment just for versatility alone.

The Wilson Staff Performance Pant is a clean and sophisticated trouser that protects against the elements. Design for Golf, this pant also serves multiple purposes. Designed to feel like a chino, it’s clean enough to wear to dinner but technical enough to offer quick-drying technology needed in warmer conditions. The material is also wonderfully stretchy, breathable, and water-repellent. This will especially come in handy when Dylan heads back to London!

I love this classy and elegant look on Dylan, now we just need to get him off the court more often!

Wilson has truly become a leader in sportswear and fashion within the tennis world over the last 2 years. With revamped designs, this brand no longer feels like the fuddy-duddy brand of old. They’ve truly taken advantage of the opportunity in the market with Nike and Adidas asleep at the wheel.

Let us know what you think of these choices!
